i-merino is rolling out the first of the sustainable training workshops to Australian growers. These workshops introduce wool growers to the practices and standards they need to follow in order to qualify for the Sustainable Farming System certification. The workshops are over a 2-day period and are followed up with an on-farm third party audit against the criteria. i-merino will have trained 20 growers by the end of 2006. These growers will then be eligible to supply merino wool into the i-merino fabric range.
