Continuum Textiles is the natural outcome of the passion and drive of the people who are part of it.
Stuart Adams – co-founder
“Continuum is more than a business to me, it is a way of giving others the chance to make a difference to the world we live in and the communities around us, including my mates at home on the farm”

Stuart is a fourth generation sheep farmer in Australia. Nobody could know more about the source of merino fiber than he does.
Stuart first recognized the superior performance
characteristics of merino wool while working and
snowboarding on the ski fields of Mount Hotham. He and his
‘mates’ have since used merino for anything
and everything including; horse-riding, dirt biking,
surf-boating, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and even
working on their disreputable old cars.
Being a farmer, Stuart has always had a deep respect for animals and the land, but his awareness of sustainability issues was heightened when he approached a large Canadian company about selling his first garment range under the brand of iZWool. The buyer he was dealing with was Anne Gillespie, and her passion for the principles behind organic cotton carried over to merino. He went much further than she had asked for, and put his research and work into developing i-merino, the first wool fabric to receive EU Ecolabel certification.
Because Stuart truly wants to change the way farming is done, he plays a strong role in the Australian wool growing industry, and has been the force behind the development of the country’s first national standard for sustainable sheep farming.
